Just what we needed - Vazquez to White Sox

Whatever your take on this, this deal in not good for us.  The White Sox now have one of the best starting rotations in all of baseball.  Their rotation now consists of 3 former #1's in Garcia (with Seattle), Buerhle, and Vazquez (with Montreal).  Contreras and Garland round out the 5.

The sportsline article also reminds us about the resigning of Konerko and the trade for Thome.

WHY AREN'T THE TIGERS DOING ANYTHING TO KEEP UP WITH THESE GUYS!!!

I agree...
I was also baffled on how the Rangers got Padilla for a PTBNL.  Couldn't we have done the same thing?  Padilla has some value and could help our rotation.

These are the kind of things I wish we would do sometimes.  You never know what kind of pickup you'll get.
