Dave Dombrowski's Trade History
If you read MLB Trade Rumors regularly, you know they have a regular series that follows the trade history of each major league general manager. On Friday, it was Dave Dombrowski's turn in the spotlight.
The spreadsheet provides a pretty fascinating reminder of just how many names Dombrowski has been involved with over his career, and it's also interesting to see certain players who pop up in more than one transaction.

It’s not as bad as it seems.
There was a pre-arranged deal in which The Twins selected Jared Camp with their 1st pick in the Rule 5 draft, the Marlins took Santana second. They then exchanged players with the Twins also recieving $500,000. So Santana never actually put on a Marlin uniform. Oddly enough neither did Camp. I assume he didn’t make the team out of spring training and was sent back to Cleveland. I know what your question is and no I haven’t any idea why The Twins didn’t just take Santana with their first pick.
