Double check my hearing

I wasn't paying close attention to ESPN but caught the end of the commercial for Sunday night baseball.

Well I swear they said something along the lines of  "Orlando Cabrera and the Angels will face Miguel Cabrera and the Tigers."

Which would be a pretty big mistake to make, I should think, since O-Cab plays for the White Sox now. Of course, ESPN would never make a mistake would it? LOL.

This 75 word min. sucks!

Re: 75-word minimum

It’s funny that you mention that, since that was raised among us bloggers on the SBN listserv this week. I’m not entirely sure of the rationale, other than perhaps to discourage one-sentence posts. But what if that’s all you have to say?

Anyway, maybe Joe Morgan wrote the copy for that Sunday night promo.

East Coast Bias

The only time they get the names right is when the player is from the Red Sox or Yankees.

"Bless You Boys" was the catchphrase used by former Detroit sportscaster Al Ackerman when reporting a winning Tigers score.
