I am the opposite of a bandwagon fan… when I say I’m through with you (referring to the Tigers) i’m talking about not caring about what happens with the rest of the season… I’m not giving up on the Tigers. I just want changes. I’ve watched nearly every game this season to my own avail. I’ve suffered with this team through the 2003 years… I’ve followed them since I was 6 years old. when I went to my first game. Do not question my fanhood, you do not know me sir. I am a Tigs fan through and through, if you read what I wrote then you’d get that. I just write out of passion and that does include me saying that “i’m through” with this team till I see changes. I say these things not saying that I’m seriously not a fan of the Tigers anymore, I’m saying that i’m not going to put in the emotional investments that I typically do with this team. I’ve participated in multiple forums, I’ve written about the Tigers, I write in the comments for nearly every game (look if you don’t buy it). Don’t question my fanhood sir. Just don’t do it.

I hate that term! A bandwagon fan is always welcome to go to a game w/ me. There is NOTHING better then taking someone to their first Tigers game. Watching them get hooked, helping them understand the finer points of this fine game, and knowing that they will be back again.

There is no such thing as a bandwagon fan, only a fan that doesn’t know he/she is a fan yet.

PS. One of the big reasons that Illich is dumping money into this team is because so many people started going to the games again.

....and the tigers have picked up like 6 games in the standings….has something “changed”? Just curious….
