We may need an additional column for errors by the umps
Anybody notice that Thames' 6th inning homer was initially called a foul ball by the same umpire that called out the Tiger in the extra inning Tiger loss at home plate against the Birds. We may want to have the umpires' schedules along with our teams' schedules just so we can add more factors to the statistic-laden sport of baseball. This may be another reason to bring in the instant replay for the close calls (and not so close calls) made by the game watchdogs.

Umps should talk to the press
At the very least, I think umpires should have to answer for their performance after the game, just as the players and coaches do. They’re way too protected.
Set aside a 15-20 minute press conference, and let the press ask the umpires about particular calls in a game. Brian Runge should have had to explain what the hell he saw on Saturday’s play at the plate. Or on Sunday, the crew as a whole could’ve detailed what made them change the foul call to a home run.
By and large, the umpires do a great job, but officiating is as questionable as it’s ever been with what’s going on in the NBA. MLB should be more proactive in addressing that.

That is a great idea, because when something is that obvious and then the next day the same guy tries to take away a blatant home run, then maybe there is a bias.
