NLCS: Game 2 Phillies-Dodgers @ 4:07 p.m.

The Good Phight and TrueBlueLA are your SB Nation sites to follow.

ALCS: Game 1 Angels-Yankees @ 7:57 p.m.

Halos Heaven and Pinstripe Alley have you covered there.

I don’t care about either of these teams!

this game is boring.

I thought the timing would keep me from my friday afternoon post-work nap, but I don’t think that will be an issue

for 1 million

the phillies got a steal. However AL>NL.

Don’t pat too hard. Although I was interested(as in to see how he would do) in Pedro all season myself. I didn’t think until this moment that he would do anything spectacular, but he did. And the Phillies are going to be tough to beat. The Yankees are the only team that has a chance to beat them.

From the Arizona Fall League today

2B Scott Sizemore 1-4, HR, 2 R, 2 RBI
RF Casper Wells, 3-5, HR, 3 R, 3 RBI
RP Andrew Oliver, 2 IP, 0 ER, 3 K, 1 BB, hold

by Kurt Mensching on Oct 16, 2009 7:15 PM EDT reply actions

bonus info I should have included in the first place

that’s 3 HR for Sizemore, 5 RBI and 1.333 OPS in 12 at-bats

For Wells, a .538 average, 6 runs, 6 RBIs in 13 at-bats

And Oliver was the 2nd round pick, really bounced back from a poor pro debut a few days back.

Damnit. Anyone got a link for Boras' comments about Maggs getting benched?

DetNews pulls their stories offline after 60 days (bullshit, lame and moronic… I could rant) so I can’t find the actual quotes other than a few from reaction articles.

I'm here!

I was working late, then I had to go to the craft store, then gulp down dinner while I watched the last four outs of the Dodgers game, then talk to my mom for a while, then I hung up – and now I am watching the Yankees (hopefully) start losing. :)

I have a life. My life just involves my computer and watching baseball at this particular moment.

Also, I want to do a pitcher next for a review instead of Granderson. Pick a relief man for me to cover that isn’t Rodney.

yes!

I was out working and then shopping for yarn so I only saw the last four outs, but still had time to cheer a bases-loaded walk, cuss at Manny for a first-pitch pop-up with the bases loaded, and then see the biggest closer around get a 1-2-3 inning for the save.

It was odd seeing a save without walking a couple of guys and bringing the tying run to third base before getting the final out.

I saw an article that (judging by the blub) said that what baseball needed to get over the steroid era was a series between the Dodgers and the Yankees …

And I thought, “Manny vs. A-Rod? How is that supposed to NOT be about the steroid era?” and I decided not to waste my time reading the article because I would either have wasted my time and felt annoyed or gotten angry at blatant stupidity and felt annoyed. And I didn’t want to be annoyed that day.
