NLCS Game 3 Open Thread

The NLCS moves to Philadelphia all tied up, after the Dodgers squeaked out a win in Game 2.  But tonight might provide a great example of the starting pitching advantage the Phillies have in this series, as their big trade deadline acquisition takes the mound.

The Game 3 starting pitchers are Hiroki Kuroda for L.A and Cliff Lee for Philly.

TrueBlueLA and The Good Phight are your SB Nation sites to follow this evening.

I love cliff lee, but I want the dodgers to win.

simple

He pitches well and the bullpen vomits up any lead he has when he is replaced.

I can’t stand Jayson Werth.

extremely

Their pitching is horrible. Either guys walk or they hit the ball extremely hard.

Yeah, least season was a disaster.

I gave this new season one last chance, and it’s about as good as season 2 so far — I feel obligated to watch because I loved the pilot season so much.

glad I'm not the only one who thinks so

my other friends that watch it think I am weird and stuck with it once I blew it off. I do plan to give it another shot when most other stuff is in reruns, maybe.

Okay, now I really do want the Yankees to win the ALCS

My reasoning: I do NOT like the Phillies. If they win the NLCS (and right now there’s a good possibility of that happening), I definitely don’t want them winning the World Series, and I feel like the Yankees have a better shot of beating them than the Angels do.

By the way, good evening, everyone.

Hi

I’m finding it amusing that TBLA’s troll accused me of being a troll. That did make me laugh.

I know

When he spat out “typical Dodger fan” I just lost it. !#%^##@ing morons just waste everyone’s time on the internet.

I was watching the game while I was at my grandparents...

…and I like how Craig Sager went into a long explanation of all the cold weather gear the players have at their disposal, and yet I haven’t seen a single hood or hat w/ ear flaps on any player.

I may be logging off in a bit myself. Still be watching, but have stuff to do away from the computer.

Well, Amazing Race is over, so I can devote full attention to the game

By the way, Amazing Race so far has produced the better result, as the annoying screaming Boston couple got eliminated.

Okay, it's time for me to go to bed

Hopefully, with 2 games tomorrow, the open thread will be more lively. See you then!
