I'm not sure how much you guys are into such things, but in case you're interested, MLB.com has posted the link to its annual This Year in Baseball Awards. There are five categories for which you can vote for Tigers, detailed below.

Hitter of the Year: Miguel Cabrera

Starter of the Year: Justin Verlander

Rookie of the Year: Rick Porcello

Play of the Year: The Curtis Granderson catch in Cleveland

Moment of the Year: Ernie Harwell's thank you speech at Comerica Park

I know most of these guys don't have a chance of winning because they're nominated against players who are either more deserving or more popular. Rick Porcello probably has the best chance of anyone. Even Grandy has to contend with that Dewayne Wise catch in the Mark Buehrle perfect game, which got a whole lot more media attention. But they are better represented than last year, when they were confined to Miguel Cabrera and Armando Galarraga. So if you care to, you can still show them your love (but beware; watching the accompanying video clips made me realize just how much I miss seeing our boys in action). At any rate, I figured I'd give a heads-up.
