Game 162 Overflow Thread #2
Optimism hasn't been in abundance in Tiger Town in recent weeks. But so far, this is going pretty well for the Tigers.
And they need to make sure it stays that way, because the Twins are sticking it to the Royals right now.
Oh, and Ryan F. Raburn.
Tigers 5, White Sox 0 going to the seventh inning.

Hey! Hochevar didn't walk Nick Puno!
He got him to flyout to left.

maybe
And how freaking awesome it is to have two of those in one rotation?

hehe I was being sarcastic
But seriously we need a trainer that can get him to pitch on 2 days rest.
Yeah, they showed part of it.

Hey there!
I was late to the party myself but there’s no place else I’d rather be.
Except maybe Comerica.

He finally did implode, though
It just took him a really long time

Twins pitcher on Tuesday?
That should be a good matchup with Porcello.

So...leadoff double and Pavano will simply strike out the side

But the Tigers need it more. No sympathy from me.

Laird has started off the 2nd 4th 6th and now the 8th inning
or rather granderson has made the last out in the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th.
Dude, WE beat Hochevar
That is how bad he is. How in the world does he have seven wins?

Dear Jim Leyland.
Do not take Justin Verlander out.
Do not.
Under any circumstances.
Sincerely,
The Bless You Boys People.
The universe basically turns out as it should.
If the Tigers lose, that’s because they just weren’t good enough. Except in rare circumstances, things unfold they way they should unfold. Just accept whatever happens. Root for the Tigers, but if things don’t turn out the way you want them to, that’s because that’s just how things are.
in what rational universe
does Huff get 106 ab’s with an OPS. under .600? There are some things that could have gone differently … CURTIS!

I could see Everett having a game where he is 0-1 with four sac bunts.

normally i wait 4 hours between taking it
but it’s been 3 and a 1/2. I think this game raised my blood pressure enough to justify taking more.
So, who would you rather see on Tuesday?
Jackson or Porcello? (Has Leyland already announced who he’s going with yet?)
Leyland's already said Porcello
http://tigersamateuranalysis.blogspot.com
by SabreRoseTiger on Oct 4, 2009 3:37 PM EDT up reply actions
Porcello
Jackson sucks now unfortunately. at least 4 of the last 5 starts.
by Kurt Mensching on Oct 4, 2009 3:37 PM EDT up reply actions
he's announced Porcello
And that is who I would go with, too. He may be a rookie, but he’s been pitching better lately and he’s a rookie with a full season of experience.

i'm sticking to Raburn
unless it brings Rick luck. But maybe Rick would like run support instead.
