Tigers Add Four Players to 40-Man Roster
The Tigers had four spots open on their 40-man roster, with six players eligible for free agency. And today, when rosters had to be finalized, the team filled each spot.
Second baseman Scott Sizemore, shortstop Audy Ciriaco, and outfielders Ryan Strieby and Brennan Boesch were added to the roster.

oh wait…my mistake.
The way the news has been I thought for sure the headline said “Tigers Trade 40-Man Roser for Four Players.”

He's from San Pedro de Macoris
of the Dominican Republic, the “cradle of shortstops”…maybe they’re just hoping that his arm develops and he gains some accuracy. He committed like 30 errors over the year, which is a little disenchanting, but maybe they should move him to 3B, it might help cut down the errors some.
the Ciriaco one confuses me
he may be young and toolsy, but I just don’t see how a major league team could carry him all season long, so I don’t think he’d have needed protection. But maybe Dombrowski heard grumblings.
