Mariners Declined Jackson for Morrow, Kelley
The source is Jon Heyman's tweet: "Hearing Tigers sought young pitchers Brandon Morrow and Shawn Kelley for Jackson. Mariners apparently said no."
If this is accurate, Dombrowski was certainly asking for a lot. It's not really surprising the Mariners declined.

I noticed this on MLB Trade Rumors
I was wondering what you guys thought of Morrow and Kelley. I know Morrow by himself wasn’t drawing a lot of enthusiasm, but I wasn’t sure how to weigh the value of Morrow and Kelley together against EJ’s value. If you guys feel that it’s a high price, that’s good. I want DD to ask for a lot.

I would have been thrilled with that return – though as rook said, that’s a lot. I wonder if this is a base for another trade, maybe DD can take someone they don’t want for one of our bad contracts too? Silly thought, I know, but maybe..

Before last year, Morrow was probably regarded more highly than Jackson.
Morrow got a bad rap last year
Reminds me of 2008 Verlander. I expect him to bounce back just fine.
