Goodness, 12 offers?

Time to wheel and deal. If he’s drawing that kind of interest, someone is bound to overpay. Edwin had a phenomenal 1st half, tailed off in the 2nd and benefited from a poor division in a pitchers ballpark. He’s a great guy and a solid #3 on this team that I’d hate to lose, but even I don’t think he’ll be as good this next year. As long as the Tigers don’t get robbed and DD is smart, he could get a nice return here.

I’m excited to see where this goes. But PLEASE keep Grandy

This is exactly my line of thought.

If we're truning around and jettisoning him after 1 good year....

Does that kind of let the DRays off the hook, in terms of making that calculation that EJax wasn’t going to be that long term solution his potential suggested he could be?

Seems like Dombrowski is making the same call, and selling high while Jackson is coming off an All Star year (first half anyway).

It does kind of make you wonder why we got him in the first place

Though as I said, if you can get a (good) shortstop and a (good) starting pitcher for him, fine.

Meh, it only “lets them off the hook” if he doesn’t end up doing well, wherever he plays next year.

I’m happy with this news. If we trade him, it means we will hopefully get a real good deal. If we don’t, that’s fine too.

I’m sorry, but it helps to keep stuff in one place when so many rumors are flying around.

No sweat

Again, I’m sorry for deleting the comment, but things have a way of getting sidetracked.
