25 Random Baseball Things: Detroit Tigers Edition

If you're on Facebook, you've undoubtedly been subjected to, and/or taken part in, the "25 Random Things" phenomenon.  (I'm not trying to sound like I've avoided it.  Those lists have constituted a big chunk of my recent online reading.  Hey, I typed one out, too.  And the people loved it!)  And if you chimed in with your own random 25, maybe you included some baseball stuff because that would reflect who you are.

Anyway, no one has his finger on the pulse of pop culture and how it might apply to baseball than Mr. Kevin Kaduk of Big League Stew.  And knowing a hot trend when he sees it, 'Duk thought this "25 Random Things" thing might mix well with baseball blogging.  He posted his list last week, and has enlisted several bloggers to chime in with their own lists, preferably influenced by their team of choice.

Rob Iracane of Walkoff Walk was up second, and I'm very flattered to be hitting third today.  (That always my favorite spot in the lineup.)  Most of my things are Tigers-related, of course, but a couple of personal anecdotes are sprinkled in, as well.  Just to let you know what you're in for, here's the first item on my list:

1. There is no better uniform in baseball than the Tigers' home whites. You might believe your team's home togs are better, but you're wrong. They might be just as good in your eyes, but they most certainly are not better.

You can view the rest of the list here.  I can only hope that my list wins your approval.  Thanks to Mr. Kaduk for asking me to participate.  (Read your Big League Stew!  It's good for you!)  It was a lot of fun (and, well, a bit more difficult than I expected).

And there's no reason for the BYB brigade not to take part.  Chime in with your own random things about the Tigers, baseball in general, or yourself.  One, five, or go to 25, if that's how you want to roll.

"Bless You Boys" was the catchphrase used by former Detroit sportscaster Al Ackerman when reporting a winning Tigers score.
