Sports Columnist arrested on drug charges
So David Mayo of the Grand Rapids Press was arrested for marijuana possession and running a drug house. Now we may know why he wrote such "fantastic" stories. To borrow the expression, I've often wondered what some columnists or commentators were "smoking".
In my opinion, two of the industries you most certainly do not want to be in if you are going to engage in illegal behavior are television and newspapers. If you get caught, everyone is going to find out.

Start the season...
I know he’s not a baseball player, but I’m sick of hearing about all of these drug and steroid stories. I can’t wait until the season starts and we can start talking about games, pitching matchups, hitting streaks/slumps, and all that important stuff. Just another reason why I hate winter.

no getting away from the drugs, not this season, what with A-Rod, and Tejada pleading guilty, and everyone wondering when Clemens is going to stop being coddled and face the same stuff as the Bonds and Tejadas of the world…
