TV Alert: Tigers on '30 Clubs in 30 Days' Tonight
Just a reminder (courtesy of DensoGirl in the comments of today's Morning Prowl): MLB Network's "30 Clubs in 30 Days" looks at your Detroit Tigers tonight.
The show premieres at 8 p.m. EST, but will replay at 11:00 p.m., as well as four other times tomorrow, up until 1:00 p.m.
And I know there are still some people who either aren't getting MLB Network or can't find it on their cable system. If you go to the channel's home page and type in your zip code, their Channel Locator can help you out. But I do know if you're in metro Detroit and a Comcast subscriber, MLB Network is on channel 279.
If anyone else in other areas can post which channel they find MLB Network on, that might be helpful to your fellow BYB reader. Community!

MLB TV
I love my AT&T U-verse package, however bummed AT&T U-verse doesn’t carry or has any mention of the MLB Network, yet. I’ve tried letting my feelings known to them without success.

They didn't show Knapp's mirror!
I am disappointed.

You didn't miss much!
Pretty bland review, imo. They did an interview with Inge, Sheff and Grandy and Verlander. It was pretty basic stuff, really about overcoming injuries and shoring up the defense. Actually, I’m glad the Tigers segment came so early in the ST coverage. They did show a few highlights from the Tigers better seasons (their 4 WS wins) and ended with Maggs walk-off with Dickerson’s call (I cried). The three announcers didn’t seem too impressed with the Tigers, but one of them predicted they’d finish 1st in the division, the second guy laughed and predicted last place and the third guy (older but wiser) predicted 2nd place. They talked for a minute about Porcello, Perry, Iorg and one other pitcher. That’s it.

Mitch Williams picked them to win the Central, Dan Plesac thinks they’re coming in last again. The possibilities for 2009 really run that gammet.
I’ve gotten slightly more optimistic, though I refuse to believe they’re anything better than a .500 club; last season hurt too much for me to have any high hopes. So I’ve giving them .81-81 and 3rd place on this day; they’re gonna have to prove me wrong.

Peter Gammons
supposedly was in the Tigers camp to watch Porcello. You know if he showed up, he’s heard some buzz.
One other thing I forgot to mention during the show was sort of a dig at Pudge saying Laird would be a big upgrade at catcher and when you say “shortstop” Everett is the guy you want with the glove but you have to hide him in the lineup.
