Get Your BYB with... Bacon?

Have you ever read Bless You Boys in the morning and thought to yourself as you were checking up on your Detroit Tigers, "Man, I could really go for some bacon right now."  It doesn't have to be a morning thing, of course.  Bacon goes with virtually any time of the day.  Well, we may just have something to help you with that.

Thanks to Bacolicio.us, you can add a slice of bacon to any site you'd prefer.  All you have to do is add "http://bacolicio.us/" to the beginning of any URL.  As an example, you might try:

http://bacolicio.us/http://www.blessyouboys.com/

Wa-Pow!  You're reading about Jeremy Bonderman, with a nice crispy strip of bacon strewn across the front page.  Now, you're free to look at whatever else it is you like to look at on the internet, with bacon on top.  You're welcome.

Okay, so it's kind of a slow news day.  Spring Training is almost here.

THAT

is the coolest thing ever. I think I might have to start a countdown to spring training in my classroom. I wonder if my students could appreciate it even half as much as I would…

Bacon

Which begs the proverbial question:

Fried in a pan over the stove? Or cook it in the microwave?

My wife prefers it in the microwave as her contention is there isn’t as much grease. I concur a little on the grease issue, but there’s nothing better in the morning than the awesome scent of bacon frying in the pan (grease or no grease). Ok, maybe coffee being brewed is equal, but that’s about it :)

Usually in a pan

But I’ve also baked it in the oven recently, which saves on a lot of mess.

And if you have trouble frying it in the pan (burned it, too soggy, too greasy, etc.), I recommend this video:

After years of frying, the oven method is not my favorite. Less grease, less mess. Love it. Now, if only I had some in my refrigerator.

The oven IS my favorite

Sorry ’bout that. Slap it on a cookie sheet and its done in a few minutes.
