Venezuela's WBC Uniforms Look Familiarly Average

Just out of curiosity, what came to your mind when you saw the uniforms Venezuela would be wearing for the 2009 World Baseball Classic? If you're unfamiliar, here's a photo of Miguel Cabrera and Magglio Ordonez sporting the national togs:

Was I the only one who saw those jerseys and thought of the uniforms Average Joe's wore in Dodgeball? Take a look for yourself. Now batting, Peter LaFleur:

(Either that, or he'd say, "Effin' A, Cotton, Effin' A!")

Now that you mention it, I wonder how I missed it earlier.

Interesting sidenote, that is the same exact uniform the Venezuelan National Softball team wears. They did a tour with the Michigan Ice a couple of years back, and their unis were exactly the same, right down to the ‘V’ on the caps/visors.

Bad hair day for Mags...

He looks like he was up all night snorting coke or something… It’s okay, I love him even when he looks his worst in the morning… and walks around the place wearing nothing but my Van Halen t-shirt.
