ex-prospect updates
I think it's important to note that Humberto Sanchez got released this weekend and Anthony Claggett got sent down after giving up 8 runs in 1.2 innings
Also, Miller is on the DL with a 6.94 era and 8 walks to 3 k's, and Maybin is batting .217 with 19 k's in 46 at-bats.
On the bright (or is that dark?) side, Jair Jurrjens is pitching very well for the Braves and Gorkys Hernandez is hitting .344 for Atlanta's AA club.
I think the Tigers could have traded Miller, Maybin, Jurrjens and Hernandez for Cabrera and they still would have made out okay. Well, maybe we'll have to wait a few years to know for sure.

If We Had Jurggens And Hernandez....
…..we wouldnt have Galaragra……Dombroksi wouldnt have had the need to get Galaraga if we had Jurgens…..So id say its a wash and actually would rather have Galarag….Much better movement on his pitches.

Jurrjens
Insert him into Minor’s spot in the rotation and then look at it. That was a terrible trade we trade him and Gorkys Hernandez for Edgar Renteria wow that trade sucked
With the way Renteria was hitting for the Braves
I think you make that trade every opportunity. Just didn’t pan out.
Sure, but
It’s kind of vindicating to see Miller and Maybin struggle. It makes the Cabrera deal look that much better in hindsight.
they're both young
but even if maybin and miller stick and make impact for a decade, getting miguel was a steal.
for me, anderson completes the jurrgens deal
and we’ve finally gotten value out of the braves. never thought that would happen.
