Opening Day Open Thread
Well it's finally Opening Day, I figured we BYB'ers should have an Open Thread where we can chat about the events of the day. No doubt Ian will have a game thread for the Tigers' game, but in the meantime, let's chat about all the other games here.
As for me, I plan on spending the afternoon checking out the Tigers' possible nemesis this year, the Indians. How is everyone else spending their Opening Day?
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of the Bless You Boys writing staff. However, it does reflect the views of this particular fan, which is as important as anything else written here at BYB.

Funny Observation
The name on the back of Saltalamacchia’s jersey curves down and runs down the left and right hand side. Guess that’s the problem with having the longest last name in MLB history. Also, fun fact about Salty, he’s married to a woman 14 years older than him, who was the gym teacher at his high school when he was attending it.

I know they don't have any pitching
but holy hell, the Rangers’ lineup is potentially frightening.

Thanks for doing this, Matt
I have Mets and Reds on now, but will switch over to Indians-Rangers.

The Rangers' red uniforms
I forgot they were going back to those this year. Those are awful. My eyes! My eyes.

Those Texas baseball teams
know how to rock the ugly uniforms. Of course we all remember these beauties.

7-1 after 7
Only thing better than a Tiger win today is an Indians loss.

I thought the Indians had a good offseason...
by picking up De Rosa and Wood… perhaps they should have made more of an effort for starting pitching?!?!
The Indians are going to get pounded the first two months, because they play, like, 95% of their season series games with the Yanks, BoSox, and Rays, and then have only one other matchup with one those teams for the rest of the year. Not that I am complaining or anything…

thanks to MLB's wonderful blackout rules
I can’t watch the Marlins. Because Miami is a mere 11 1/2 hours from here.

I love seeing CC Sabathia
give up 6 runs in 4 1/3, and needing the bullpen to save him from giving up more.
