Grand Slammed: Twins 14, Tigers 10

Words truly fail. And not just because it's 1 a.m. EST.
Once upon a time, 13 innings (and two GameThreads) ago, Dontrelle Willis started this game. I think we'll write about it at some point later. But for now... Tigers Killer Joe Crede hit a walk-off grand slam off a noodle-armed Brandon Lyon, who was pitching his third inning. (Nate Robertson must be wondering if he even pitches for the Detroit Tigers anymore.)
Comment of the Night:
We need to score and win this game BEFORE Crede comes up again...
You can’t keep tempting fate like that.

Searching for the silver lining.
I root for the Tigers, Pistons, Red Wings and yes, the Lions.

Now we know why McClendon is the HITTING coach
by the way, some poster on Billfer’s site said that Nate is injured and that Lucas French is on his way up…he didn’t cite anywhere, just said he heard it through the grapevine or whatever, so it;s probably bogus. But if it isn’t that explain why Lloyd left him in there so long.
In any event, I hope JV gets us a win tomorrow.
That is at least an explanation for why Nate wasn’t used.

FSD is running
“Nate Robertson: In My Own Words” after the game.
Someone at Fox Sports Detroit has a wicked sense of humor.

Now I see why McClendon isn’t a manager anymore. Taking Seay in the middle of an at bat, with a 1-2 count?! Leaving Brandon Lyon in for his 3rd inning of work when the guy has proven he absolutely positively SUCKS?!
I did lol when Leyland lost his mind, though. He was completely in the right. That umpire should get suspended and fined. If a player can’t touch an ump without getting ejected, fined, and possibly suspended, then an ump SHOULD NOT be able to forcibly touch a player.
