"Honestly, today was just unacceptable. I can't put my team in that type of hole. Can't beat anybody pitching like that. t's very tough to pitch when you're in a jam every inning. I'm going to have to finally do something, or somebody else is going to have to go out there to help this ballclub win. Because I just can't go out there and do that."

I feel bad throwing Wiliis underneath the bus because he has been handling himself and his approach to pitching and the press so professionally this year. His team and organization always seem to stand behind him because hes such a nice guy and hes working so hard, but I just can’t see them as a contender with this guy serving up runs on a platter every 5 days. A baseball decision has to be made to get a serious replacement for him in the rotation, not a personal decision to keep giving a friend another chance as much as it hurts me to say.

I agree

it sucks to watch him pitch so poorly when everyone is rooting so hard for him. The game he pitched against texas was phenominal, but it has been way down hill since. It pains me to say it, but they have got to look in another direction. There is no defense for the walk. He is just not getting the job done.

Lynn Henning got it right today

it was embarrassing to watch and you felt embarrassed for him as he missed the plate by a foot or two time after time after time.

You want so much for him to succed but it’s just not happening and it’s hurting the team. He knows it, and I commend him for his honesty in his postgame interview.
