Game 65 Overflow Thread
For the second time this season (and we probably should've had more, but I wasn't paying attention), we have an overflow thread!
Tigers down, 2-0, in the bottom of the seventh.
Comeback? Rally squirrels? Rally Joes? What else is possible?
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of the Bless You Boys writing staff. However, it does reflect the views of this particular fan, which is as important as anything else written here at BYB.

I have a bet going with a friend at work
who is a Twins fan. Team up at the ASB gets a bbq for 10 guests catered by the loser.
I used to think it was in the bag.

Need to run an experiment
One rally creature at a night, if it works, try it in tandem with another, see which ones cancel, etc….I think it was rally overload tonight, all the good juju crashed into each other and failed to get through to Busch stadium

should i remove my joe mauer shirt from the house for that series?
i could bury it in the field next to the house or the one behind the house, or the one across the road. what do you think?
by wepri31 on Jun 17, 2009 11:16 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
maybe the Tigers will be lucky
Crede will tragically have a broken leg and Morneau will tragically have a twisted knee and Mauer will tragically have a separated shoulder. In a bizarre series of tragic accidents.
And the entire pitching staff will spontaneously combust.

No
I’d think it’d be like going to a movie by yourself.
by Tagne13 on Jun 17, 2009 11:24 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
I’ve gone to movies by myself before, too – if I wanted to go and no one else I knew wanted to. If I had to wait until someone else wanted to go with me to things I’d never go. Too hard to coordinate schedules.
If you really don’t want to be seen alone at a baseball game, then why don’t we meet outside the park before hand so you have someone to talk to during the game? At least you know I will be paying enough attention that I won’t always be asking what inning it is now or why that guy isn’t running when the ball is hit because I don’t understand the concept of “tagging up.” :)

I think four out of five movies I see, I went by myself.
Big blockbuster-type movies are more fun with someone, but I kind of like seeing the quieter films alone.

I have usually gone to sports events and gallery shows and movies and whatnot by myself, even when I was engaged. Should have clued in a little earlier, there – it might have spared me a few wasted years and a lot of money. :(
Ah, well – live and learn.
