"The team is, to use Marcus Thames' word following Thursday's victory, 'hungry.' Thames took note of how Jim Leyland stopped by his locker Thursday, telling Thames to help get the message out: 'Don't settle for two games (the Tigers won the first two games of the series). Let's bury 'em.'"

I love this team.
This year’s Tigers team just sounds like it’s sick and tired of being sick and tired and I love it! Hopefully they can keep this level of intensity throughout the season and take care of business. Go Tigers!

Well, with that being said by Leland
mea culpa, mea culpa. Jim, you eat all you want after those games even when it’s an interview. So sorry, Skipper!
"It's designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything is new again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops, and leaves you to face the fall alone". A. Bartlett Giamatti
