Ryan Strieby
Hello All,
Im looking for some advice or help with understanding why Ryan Strieby is not talked about as a top minor league prospect. Im thinking of adding him to by minor league team in my dynasty draft. The guy is OPSing over 1000 in AA right now as a 23 yr old. He looks to have lots of power(29 Hr's last year). Why is he not talked about as a top 100 prospect in baseball. Any knowledge about the guy will be much appreaciated. Thanks

He strikes out 20% of the time. He might have a breaking pitch he struggles with, but I can’t tell you for sure.
He’s a first baseman by trade, so that means he’s blocked by Miguel Cabrera and reportedly playing some left field to learn the position right now. At age 23, he’s too young to be considered as a designated hitter.
Right now, I can’t help but associate him with Chris Shelton, described as a guy who could really hit the ball but who had no real place to be hidden in the field.
