BYB on SportsTalkSoup Tonight
It's the last day of the All-Star break, but the Detroit Tigers are off for one more day before resuming the regular season on Friday against the New York Yankees. So if you find yourself needing a fix for some Tigers talk late tonight, I'll be a guest on SportsTalkSoup to preview this weekend's series.
And if you don't want to listen to me, but could go for hearing some trade talk, Ben Nicholson-Smith from MLB Trade Rumors leads off the show to talk about what sorts of deals each contender could make over the next couple of weeks, and discuss who the first half MVP and Cy Young Award candidates might be in each league.
SportsTalkSoup begins at 11 p.m. EST on BlogTalkRadio, and you can listen here. The number to call in is 347-996-3283. I'll probably be on around 11:20 p.m. A podcast of the show will be available later on, if that's a bit late for you. But hopefully, some of the night owls among you can tune in. (And I can already hear the jokes about whether or not I'll be able to stay up that late.)

Could you do one small favor?
Post it in a different format this time? Thanks!

I’m going to try Yahoo! Media Player this time, and see if that works. The Google player’s the one that’s been messing up the site for some of you.

You ruined the joke!
I couldn’t wait to listen when they got to you tonight:
“We have Ian Casselberry here from Blessyouboys.com to talk some Detroit Tigers for ya!”
“Ian, you there buddy?”
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz (Massive snoring noise!)
I probably can’t make it that late tonight, so make fun of me instead. Good luck.

wow
Something similar happened when I was in Baltimore – a tanker truck took a turn too quickly when it was exiting a freeway, and flipped over and exploded under an overpass. The bridge didn’t collapse, but there were scorch marks and some damage.
One of my coworkers had actually gone over the bridge shortly before that on his way home, and saw the explosion in his rear-view mirror.

And to think that this is nothing like the bridge collapse in Minneapolis

same thing happened in Oakland not too far from the Bay Bridge
a couple years back

They are saying the tanker went under the over pass
but it hit the bridge

I don't believe that is the same story they are feeding here...
they made it sound more like the tanker rolled off the bridge

hmm differences in story between channel 7 and channel 4
I wonder which is accurate.

I’m listening, Ian! Don’t be nervous, but ceiling Inge might be watching you.

So if I sounded nervous, that was why?

I'm just proud you stayed awake so late!

It wasn't easy
I had to drink Diet Pepsi after 9 o’clock!

just finished listening
I agree with you on Luke Scott – it might be nice to have him on the Tigers just so he isn’t in the opposition lineup.
I thought you did a fantastic job – if you were nervous at all, you certainly didn’t sound like it. You sounded very polished and professional (more so than some guys who get paid the big bucks to talk in public). And I’m sorry you catch so much flak for falling asleep. Everyone needs a quirk of some kind, though. :-)
