Game 95 Overflow Thread
Looks like Detroit's baseball team is interested in fighting for first place in the AL Central. Nothing like some hot division rivalry to stir the blood.
Tigers and White Sox tied 3-3, going into the bottom of the seventh inning!

this is why people want you fired. You don’t sit in the stands during games, you manage, okay!?

Quick question
I’ll be at the game tomorrow. Someone said something at some point on BYB about not shopping for gear at the ballpark store, but at some other nearby store, which was much better.
1. What store is this?
2. Why is it better?
and 3. Do they sell authentic Tiger jerseys?
Detroit Athletic Company
is the one on Michigan, but the Greektown place is priced to fit any budget also
Welcome to Detroit>>Where the weak are killed and eaten.
I don't remeber the name of it
but its in Greektown. Take the People mover and when you get off in greektown it’s right there on the corner
Welcome to Detroit>>Where the weak are killed and eaten.
I could telll you where it is
but I don’t know the name. IF you stand in front of the main entrance to Comerica, cross the street and it’s on the right hand side.
Right, couldn't remember where.
Thanks y’all. I’ll look for all these places and purchase my Verlander and/or Edwin and/or Miguel jersey wherever cheapest.
I looked on the map.
It’s on E. Adams, across from Grand Circus Park. It’s like two store down from the corner.
one down, two more to go...

largest living rodent
Not surprised they are used as food – guinea pigs were domesticated as a food source. People will eat anything that won’t eat them first.
"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a great battle." -- Philo of Alexandria

I don’t think you could. I know I couldn’t. I guess in the U.S. we are used to more “farm-like” creatures
Welcome to Detroit>>Where the weak are killed and eaten.

maybe
I wouldn’t have a problem eating more meat-like creatures. I have problems with eating things like lamprey or snails or animals like that. Once it’s on a plate, hard to tell what animal it is.
Probably the most unusual animals I’ve eaten were octopus, squid, and rattlesnake.

oh, I love venison
I didn’t care for the squid (too rubbery), but the octopus I had at a Greek restaurant was actually excellent. It was a much firmer texture than I expected – kind of like a delicate flaky white fish.
Some people find the suckers on the tentacles off-putting, though.

From tigers.com
Once Bonine found out he was making this start, he reserved two seats for family members to watch him pitch. His stepfather took a red-eye flight Friday evening, made it to the game, and brought two Bonine jerseys. He wore one and put the other on the second seat, saved for Bonine’s mom.
“In person, she would’ve been just as excited,” Bonine said. “She was obviously excited up there. It was one of those things, driving up, I knew it was going to be a good night.”
Thanks for the good start, Eddie. Mom would have been proud. And don’t worry — you’ll be back.
