Bye Bye Cliff Lee

It's being reported that the tribe will send Lee to Philly which means we will likely face a call up on Saturday in Cleveland. Hopefully this trade will signal more trades from Cleveland (like V. Martinez). Whether the tribe makes any more deals or not, I certainly hope the Tigers play better in Cleveland than they have in Texas. I am also hoping that DD can get something done soon. We are 4-9 so far in the second half and while I am not about to jump off a roof I would like to see us add on or two piece's that can help us make a playoff push.

you are the man. And I agree, I was listening to sports talk radio this morning and all were in agreement the AL is wide open, in all divisions. We have a chance for all the marbles. Personally, I feel there is never a good excuse for losing, losing is just that. Excuses are for “losers”. Because if you’re not in 1st, you’re last. I forget where I heard that, but it’s fitting.

Talledega nights

You probably heard it on Talledega nights, that was one of Ricky Bobby’s favorite sayings.

Not a huge deal ...

sure, Cleveland is out of it and we have beaten 3 times already this year so it shouldn’t be a big deal if we face him again. What does excite me about the deal is that it could represent a shift in Cleveland towards rebuilding. I had heard all along that the tribe was leaning toward keeping Lee with an eye on making a run in 2010. Trading Lee could just be the beginning for the Indians. There are rumors surrounding Victor Martinez and I would love to see him leave the division before Friday night’s game. Of course, this could be all the tribe does so we will have to see.
