Dear Detroit Tigers,

As you probably know, Magglio Ordonez hasn't been hitting many home runs for you this season.  Because of that, he might not be with you guys too much longer.  Perhaps you've heard the chatter.

So when Maggs hits one that gives you the lead, you probably shouldn't squander it.  (Not to mention, that was a pretty good shot!  Deep center field?  Hey-o!)

Mm-kay?  Let's try to work on that in the future.  (Along with scoring more runs for Edwin Jackson, of course.)  Oh, and letting Nick Punto get the game-winning hit against you?  Is that really how you want this season to go down, guys?

We plan to post a proper recap, but just in case we just can't get to it (Happy 4th of July!), here's the dap.  (And if you were in the GameThread, you know who gets COTN.)

Ordonez return to form today?

Ordonez has an OPS over 1.000 against Liriano and in the last 3 years, he has an OPS of over 1.000 in the Metrodome. If he can’t get 2 to 3 hits today, I’m not sure when he will.
