PrintIt's Fight Night at Fenway Park! Rick Porcello has been tossed from the game after hitting Kevin Youkilis with a pitch. Youkilis was also ejected for charging the mound and throwing his helmet. (He might have to ice himself, after Porcello body-slammed him to the turf, too.) Did we miss anything?
Oh. Chris Lambert served up a game-tying three-run homer to Jason Bay. Blurgh.
So what time's this one going to end? Should we shoot for midnight?

i'm not going to win any friends here by saying this but ...
porcello kinda got owned. that picture is misleading. he was backing away, threw his arms arms up, and luckily was able to use youk’s momentum to throw him down.

as a wrestler in real life, porcello backing up helped lure youk into a charge and take him off-balance. may have been planned or not, but it was effective and he didn’t get owned at all

Finally broke down and got the tv this year, after listening to gameday for a couple years. Absolutely worth it — when I’m not blacked out.
We are considered part of their market

Full synopsis:
They hit Cabrera on the wrist and he had to come out of the game. Porcello hit Youkilis in the back, causing him to throw his helmet at him and charge. Benches cleared. Porcello and Youk ejected. Francona ejected the next inning for arguing about someone getting caught stealing. Everyone very pissed.

It really didn't look intentional to me
It looked like the pitch ran in on him rather than being thrown at him- the location was just below the letters and it barely grazed the big wuss.

He looked great in the WBC and then it just fell apart. I kind of blamed the WBC but that should have worn off by now.

I think the fact that he has proven he's capable of so much better

Keith Law has written a blog about the brawl saying that it was Youk’s fault and the umpire fault cuz why would Porcello want to get ejected when he had good stuff and a three run lead. I don’t know how to send the link but just go to espn’s mlb page.
