Game 113 Overflow Thread

Zach Miner pitched as well as could probably be expected, considering he had a day's notice.  (Maybe he was told to prepare when Armando Galarraga began to feel ill.)  But Freddy Dolsi smells like gasoline.  Is he really the best pitcher that could've been called up from Toledo?

Oh, and I think we've seen enough of Jason Bay now.  This has to be revenge for his oh-fer in the 2005 Home Run Derby at Comerica Park.  And Mike Lowell?  Is this karmic justice for the beanballs thrown at Kevin Youkilis on Monday and Tuesday?

Red Sox 8, Tigers 1 in the sixth inning.  It is unraveling fast.

I think

Youkilis is on steroids, still trying to figure out what you’re supposed to do when some guy w/ roid rage charges the mound & throws his helmet @ U?

he must really suck,

One strike away from getting out of it...

and that happens. Unreal.

Good thing the White Sox don’t play tomorrow. We’re guaranteed one more day alone in first.

Not to be negative, but we look like one awful baseball team right now.

Good thing...

they went out & got that reliever we really needed, knowing that they’re losing Zumya once again, o wait they didn’t….nice. They actually hitting a bit, but the BP can’t hold ’em & keep stranding guys, with extra base hit…wtf.

I don't know what that is

Maybe I'm just angry....

but is there anyone in the pen that we can bring out to just drill another Sox player?

I’m not handling this series well. At all. Drilling someone again as retribution for taking Miggy out for two games would make me feel better. And of course, that’s paramount.

I’m just kidding. I know Leyland doesn’t operate that way, and any further beanballs would surely result in a vacation for Leyland.

Seriously, the Sox don’t get much of a loss for Youk charging the mound. We lost Miggy for two and two starts for Rick. That’s a lot. The Sox have approximately 17 guys who can play 3rd base and hit balls over their trick wall. Especially off of our pitching staff.

We got hosed. I hope Mr. I lets his ol’ pal Bud know what he thinks.

by rook34 on Aug 12, 2009 9:31 PM EDT reply actions

They could call up Robertson to drill someone…but he’d probably miss.
