Game 118 Afterglow Thread

C'mon - how much fun was that?

This one had a little bit of everything.  Good starting pitching.  A meltdown by the bullpen.  A comeback ignited by Tiger Town's newest hero.  Some trickeration to steal a run.  (How fast did you go from "No!" to "Yes!" on that play?)

And finally, an epic 12-pitch battle to end the game between Jose Lopez and Fernando Rodney

Nothing like a comeback win during a pennant race to make a baseball fan feel alive!

Tigers win, 5-3!  Enjoy the afterglow.

I've been wondering...

Chone Figgins is a free agent this offseason. He’s been playing 3B for the Angels, but he can play the outfield. I wonder how much he’ll fetch.

Not at my Meijer :)

saw it on the shelf when I was there earlier. A little girl was trying to get her mom to buy it for her.

I usually shop at Kroger cuz that's where I work

…but Meijer’s the only place around here that sells Fruit 2 O in bulk.

I love Meijer

but understandable that you shop where you work.

And damn it now I really want some smartfood white cheddar but I have none :(

I've watched the Cabrera hit replay a few times now.

The first time I was wondering who they had doing play-by-play, but it was just Mario’s deeply intense voice.

Most underrated closer ever.

No one, and I mean no one, talks about the guy.

I was sitting by the bullpen once, watching him warm up

some Tigers fan on the skywalk was yelling down at him, it was funny as hell. He was rattling off his whole bio, back to high school and stuff. Nathan just looked up and smiled and started laughing.

WHY does MLB network tease me so mercilessly?

They appear to show a lot of the Tigers’ Thursday day games….you know, when I’m at work, far away from my TV? And none of the ones that I can actually catch….

I have to work tomorrow night

I’ll miss Verlander :-(

On the bright side, though, I do NOT work on Thursday, which means that I will FINALLY see Jarrod Washburn pitch.
