Game 121 Overflow Thread
Edwin Jackson seems to have settled down after a bit of a shaky start, and Ryan Raburn looks like an A's-kicker out there with two home runs.
How are you holding up? Still awake with us? Tigers 2, Athletics 1 going to the sixth inning.

Insane Warriors!
Which would be a good name for a band.

My old band was called "Any Old Stranger"
my new band is called “Moss Rocket” Not to be confused with my solo music (linked below).
does this sound like a shameless plug or an interesting personal tidbit? You decide.
My Music: Some Sorta Giant
i always wanted to start a band called "Better Than Better Than Ezra"
http://www.fromthecopa.blogspot.com
when I was in college
Some friends were starting a band. They were asking for names – after they heard “Primordial Soup” and “Endoplasmic Reticulum” and “Messenger RNA” they decided that asking biology majors wasn’t the best idea (although I also suggested “Plate Tectonics”).

hey
WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE TWINS AND KC? WHY DOES IT SAY IT ENDED 4-4??
10 innings
The extras must have messed it up.

pretty sure when the ump started to walk out
Geren said, “the fuck you want?”
At least Laird got a hit out of it
Makes up for the ball he hit to deep center that went for an out

That's Everett for you
Can only keep they let him walk this offseason, sign someone like Scutaro or Cabrera who can both pick it and get it done with the bat.
Opie, Opie, Opie
what are we going to do with you?
I wonder what happens if we let Jackson hit and use the DH for Everett
Rod doesn't even think he counts anymore
He kept saying Santiago is our only short stop earlier.

I think the Oakland pen is pretty solid, not sure though.

as of yet I just have the kit lens as well as the 55-250 IS, the latter of which I am in love with
for work I got to play around with a 300 mm lens
with awesome glass. omg I was so in love. couple of thousand bucks and it was going to waste in the closet.

I use Nikon products
So I’m a Hatfield and you’re a McCoy.
really all you need is a decent 18-55 or so, and then a great zoom lens. Well that’s all I need. I find a lot of the range in the middle is wasted on a lens.
by Kurt Mensching on Aug 21, 2009 11:56 PM EDT up reply actions
for me, I've just got to own 2.8 lenses, I forgot that was the key point
by Kurt Mensching on Aug 21, 2009 11:58 PM EDT up reply actions
yeah
the 18-55 for taking photos of people you’re with and cool stadium wide angles. then the 200+ for the action.
I’ve shot a whole lot of indoor sports in my life, thus the need for 2.8.

okay, Ryan
