Game 124 Overflow Thread
Verlander. Weaver. You wanted a pitching duel? Oh, you've got one.
Tigers have a 1-0 lead over the Angels heading to the fifth. Can you (can I?) stay awake?

And I'm off to bed.
But I leave you with one thought: We have been worshiping at the wrong altar. Verlander is God.
G'night
and yeah, JV was my religion on facebook for a while. haha.

Grandy still has to homer in this game
He might only get one more at-bat against Weaver. Maybe.

Ok, that was ugly, but you get another chance.

I'm pissed...
If Mauer wasn’t hitting unbelievable, Cabrera could be contending for the batting title.
If I remember correctly...
Mark Carlson has kind of a tight strike zone, doesn’t he?

It took me the last three innings just to catch up with the thread!

At least it wasn't a double play.
Maybe Razor can run into one. Weaver is starting to leave pitches up.
And with the exception of the earlier pop-up
Laird’s been looking a bit better at the plate recently.

I can cope with poor hitting
If he keeps playing that well defensively.

When did Weaver cut his hair?
He looks sooooo diferent – with it long, he looked just like Jeff.
And woooo, Ramon!

don't know
He had it long for a while, and was pitching very well – maybe he just got bored with it long.
I did not recognize him at all.

Honestly, I wanna leave Granderson in here.
He needs to eventually learn to hit lefties and you know he won’t ground into a DP.
That said, he’ll probably strike out but his defense in center is too valuable to take him out.
Likely Raburn and Clete will make their way into the game eventually
