Tigers Lose: Game 139 Thread of Shame

The "Thread of Shame" moniker seems particularly appropriate today.  Three straight losses to the last-place Royals after sweeping three games last weekend in Tampa Bay?  Believe it.

Tigers lose 7-4 to the Royals, putting a rather sour note on what had been an inspiring road trip.

If there's a bright side to the afternoon, it's that the Twins also lost.  So Detroit's first-place lead remains at 5.5 games.

We'll have a full recap later this evening.  Until then.  Go have a drink.  Eat some dinner.  Think about tomorrow.

Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya! Tomorrow!

Maybe it was just as well that I couldn’t watch the game this afternoon. I imagine it’s going to be a rather long and quiet plane ride home.

The good thing about tomorrow?

I only have one class and I don’t work.

The bad news is that means I have to work Saturday (and I’m closing; yuck).

The good news?

Only one more road trip. It IS a long one, though.

well

we only dropped 1 game to the twins. if we play well at home like we usually do we could get a good lead again.

What happened to the offense?

Our offense seems to go in streaks of hot and cold. It sure was cold in KC.

I'll just roll up this newspaper.........

Come here Tigers! Come here!………………….BAD TIGERS! BAD! NO!

How can a team go from being so clutch to so lousy?

By the way, I was at the game where Rodney earned his suspension. I don’t see how he got 3 games for that. Balls (and in the case of that game, a broken bat) fly into the crowd way harder than his foul-ball-esque lob into the press box.
