Tigers Win! Game 158 Afterglow
The Tigers proved they can beat Carl Pavano, after all.
Magglio Ordonez and Brandon Inge continued their hot hitting, combining to drive in five of Detroit's seven runs. Seven runs matches the total Pavano had allowed to the Tigers in his five previous starts against them this season, by the way.
Meanwhile, Eddie Bonine gave up only two runs for the second straight start, (though it looked shaky at the beginning) and three relievers pitched three innings of scoreless baseball.
And with that, Detroit's lead in the AL Central is three games. Their magic number is two. Something very cool could happen tomorrow afternoon at Comerica Park.
Tigers beat the Twins, 7-2! Full recap to come. But for now, enjoy the afterglow!

I have a feeling I'll have a full cubicle tomorrow
Coworking huddling around my computer to watch the game

Okay kids.
Off to bed. I need a good night’s sleep to be prepared for tomorrow afternoon. I’ll bring the peanut butter and jelly.
Oh my God
I really, REALLY wish I didn’t have lab tomorrow. And it’s wet lab, too. If it was dry lab, I might be out by 3:15, but wet lab’ll last until at least 4:00, if not longer.

I'll pop in when I can tomorrow
But it’s going to depend on what I have going on at work how much time I can spend at the computer.

I'll probably be able to comment for about an hour (provided there's an open computer in the lab)
But I’ll only be able to listen on Gameday Audio, and then I’ll have to go to lab (and the frustrating thing is that there’s actually quite a bit of downtime, but the room is situated such that I can’t even sneak a glance at my iPod).
I’ll have to remember to set the VCR, or DVR if I can.

No, the promo for the season opener that has the voiceover by someone who sounds like Ula from the Producers
I know the opener is in Sweden, but really…?

bleargh
I didn’t see that. And most of the Swedes on the Wings barely have any accent at all – their English is excellent.
