If Brandon Inge never does another thing in his life...
He can be proud of this:

This video from annarbor.com is worth watching, too. But have your kleenex ready. And the look on Inge's face at 1:59 is priceless!
Yes, he hit a game winning grand slam in yesterday's game. But these pictures, and this story tell me that Brandon Inge is a hero in a way that goes far beyond the baseball diamond.
And yes, I know we all knew this, but it's nice to remind ourselves of it from time to time.

now's a good a time as any I suppose
to introduce myself to the SB nation (thanks to much prodding by allikazoo) and say I was one of the ones that didn’t get the Brandon Inge love… but now I do. It’s bigger than baseball. Good at life indeed!

Does anyone have a link to watch the piece SportsCenter did on Inge? I couldn’t find it on ESPN.com.
Small world
I met someone at a get-together last night who was born in Brandon’s hometown of Lynchburg, Virginia… imagine my disappointment when he said he didn’t know Mr. Inge. He did, however, mention that Jerry Falwell’s crazy ass was also from Lynchburg.
