Leyland Ain't the Only One That's Old School...
The Awesomeness That is Lou Piniella:
"First of all, I don’t know how to Twitter,‘’ Piniella said. "Second of all, I’m not going to learn how to Twitter. I’m really not a Facebook or a Twitter guy.
"I’m a prime rib and potato guy.
"What happened to good ol’ fashioned baseball, anyway?’’
I don't really find it all that funny
but it is quite a hard art form to do well, so I commend its author for trying.

I imagine it being in the voice from the guy with the beard in the Simpsons.
Abe’s friend, the one that likes to paddle.
That would be Jasper.
“Oh no! I broke my beard!”
Also, completely off-topic, from the Detroit News, in case you missed it:
Brent Dlugach on the pronunciation of his last name: “I’m not surprised when people get it wrong. I’m surprised when they get it right.”
By the way, it’s Duh-loo-getch, according to the American League Red Book (which gets its guidance from the Tigers’ media relations staff).

Sometimes....
I think Leyland’s portrayal of the “old school” manager is almost an act.
