Completely OT: Analyze THIS!

I guess the season has really begun because I had my first baseball dream of the year the other night. (I also had a dream last night that I invited DetroitChik and her son to my aunt's house for Thanksgiving dinner, but that's another story.)

Anyway...I was playing baseball. In Chicago. And though it wasn't for the White Sox, Ozzie Guillen WAS the manager. But it was a team made up of people from a bunch of other teams no one had ever heard of. For example, I know the guy who batted before me wore a lime green satin uniform from "The Tubs".

I was up at bat, but the pitcher was only about ten feet away from me, or close enough so that I could hear him talking. And all the time his "chatter" was about the history of the city of Chicago, going back to Native American days and the Black Hawk wars. There was also a blinding light behind him that shone into my eyes and made me sweat. I could even feel the bead of sweat that dropped on my cheek.

On a full count, I swung away and made contact for a solid single. It was my first major league hit and I even remembered to make sure to get the ball.

And then I woke up.

A few weeks ago I dreamt that Justin Verlander was playing himself on an episode of Law and Order. In the episode, he was being framed for some crime by a corrupt police detective. The strangest part about this is that I don’t think I’ve ever seen an episode of Law and Order.

I've actually seen a couple episodes of Criminal Intent

And one of my college roommates was a big SVU fan, so I guess I picked up on a few of those in the background. But I’ve never seen an episode of Original Recipe Version.

For what it’s worth, I’ve only seen one episode of ER (another show that was on for a thousand years)

I have a recurring dream

I have a recurring nightmare

About blowing a 7 game lead and finishing the season tied with the Twins and then blowing it in Game 163. Can’t imagine where that one comes from.

and also… was it the same day that you made the comment regarding me becoming a fan of his on FB? Remember "Well, I know he has his moments, but seriously? " hhmm? odd. I highly doubt you have a crush on Ozzie, i find it hard to believe his wife even likes him, but maybe you had embedded that into your subconscious and ate something out of a tub…

Has anyone else had a dream about being here?

In the dream I had about Verlander getting shelled on May 5th (see OT thread), I was on BYB and someone kept typing “Missing is good” in all caps. I guess he/she was upset about the lack of strikeouts in the game.
