Yeah...

That’s the first thing I have won in a long time…

Tim Horton’s Roll up the Rim to Win contest has really been hurting my self esteem lately….

Flyout

I’m not sure which Braves are where anymore, but Clevlen is apparently in the game somewhere

Dang it!

I forgot about the game today… who is winning?

OMG

well i am gonna keep what I think to myself, but isn’t this his second start that was kind of a fiasco?

Score is still 8-1.

Scherzer and Ni got lit up.

Willis, Zumaya and Coke have sounded pretty good.

Especially impressed with Willis going 2 innings, no runs, 1 walk (to Heyward) and 2 Ks.

class is over..

so thanks for keeping me updated guys. made class much more tolerable. so nice out today im going to head home and see if I can get any of the roommates outside to play some catch

by tigers22 on Mar 8, 2010 3:01 PM EST reply actions

Wow OK

So I had to duck out for a second. And…Dontrelle struck out some folk? And didn’t give up any runs? Are we sure he’s not pitching with his Avatar?

by ChrisDTX on Mar 8, 2010 3:02 PM EST reply actions

he is Airbender

Zoom is Firebender
Porcello is Earthbender

I’m not sure who the Waterbender is though… any ideas?

by murrajo on Mar 8, 2010 3:11 PM EST up reply actions

Not sure

Does it have to be a pitcher? Cuz we could pick one of our power guys. When they hit a home run, the centerfield fountain goes off.

I'm watching the Phillies-Yankees game.

Polly made a nice pick, but I don’t think his arm is quite ready for 3B.

Runs scoring on wild pitch...

That’s the sort of thing that only makes you happy in the 9th inning of a close game.

Krikey!

That’s like Bruce Chen being a Panamanian-Korean. I am going to abstain from any Fosters, Crocodile Dundee or Outback Steakhouse references, though. Too cliche and all.

I saw last week or something

rowland-smith (aussie pitcher for the M’s) tweeted about feeling like a douche eating at outback steakhouse. haha

There is a certain newly-acquired Thai/Croat/Irishman . . .

. . . you now need to take into account. Surely that’s at least as odd as a Panamanian/Korean

speaking of wieters

did he play in our game against the O’s? I haven’t heard much about him this spring

then again, the hype isn’t as apparent this year for obvious reasons

tomorrow's Strasberg Day, isn't it?

His first start, against the Tigers…I hope we light him up, and then he turns out to be great after all.

Hmmm…maybe the Tigers should just petition that games start in the third inning from now on?

Groundout to 1B (Raburn)

Braves broadcasters have no idea who he is and can’t find him on the roster

if you had to pick one dead hall of famer to resurrect and put in a Tigers uniform...

…who would it be?

Harder question than it seems at first, since I’m trying to think of what would most benefit this team.

by ahtrap on Mar 8, 2010 3:31 PM EST up reply actions

that was my first thought

But the guy really didn’t hit for power, and some of the crap he pulled would probably get him suspended.

Maybe someone like Charlie Gehringer to lock down the middle infield?

Ruth, of course . . .

. . . we could use an effective lefty starting pitcher.

from Beck's twitter:

Dontrelle says he tweaked his elbow on a quick pickoff attempt, which explains Leyland’s mound visit. He says he’s fine to play catch Tues.

then has everyone else ground out to the pitcher

Here we go

It’s not listed on the MLB.com Media Center page, but today’s Nationals game notes say that tomorrow’s game will be broadcast on MASN, which means it should be on MLB.tv
