I'm glad to be back to baseball.
I know we all needed an off day, but it feels good to be back to a gameday.
I also got tickets to the Yankees vs Tigers on tuesday. It will be the first game I get to this year. Living on the West Side of the state is tricky to get to games. Probably made it to 5 last year. It’s for ‘my wife’s birthday’. I wish I could be there for Ernie’s ceremonies etc on Monday, but it would not fit the schedule.
omg
My computer internet is working! (For the moment.) My fingers were getting soooooo itchy being cut off.
If it starts going out again I will have throat lozenges on hand next time I yell at my cable people so I don’t have to stop for anything. :)

best part is
Tech is having email issues on top of the surrounding internet going out. the email client the school uses had an unexpected failure. 6.7 terrabytes of emails, got nuked (they’re backed up, but not accessible for any of us). email has been down for an entire week so far with no timetable about getting it back up.
and to think, we almost went with a GMail client instead of some place out of southeast michigan.

Double, home run, double, double
One of these things is not like the other. One of these things is just a bit more awesome.

Bored, bottom of the line up nerdy admission time!
Last year I started a blog based on me playing an Out of the Park Baseball 10 MLB season with the Tigers.
I played every game of the season and wrote recaps because I’m that dorky. I may do it again in my downtime this year (maybe for the M’s this time).
And he’s at 47 pitches, at least something happened!
Dontrelle Willis apologist.
Hmm..
If I can find it, there was a site dedicated to people doing this. They’d start their own season and dynasties and write about it. I was following this one for hockey. He would make his own graphics and put a recap up of every game and include photos (because you can take photos in NHL 10), and maybe some highlights every once in a while. It was pretty nifty because he started the next off season off by trading almost all of his players and grabbing a bunch of proven stars for a cup run.
Here's the direct link to the sub forum in the forum

and here’s the link to the guy I was talking about:
I just checked it out myself...

because
Cabrera is in scoring position at home plate. If he gets on fist base, he may be squander-stranded there instead of trotting around on his own for a run.

and I knew it was sarcasm ;)
I just wanted to see what squander-stranded looked like outside of my head.

but it’s definitely getting colder. they say 3-5 inches of snow tomorrow. not buying it until i see it falling

we got about half an hour of really light snow
now nothing at all. But it’s supposed to be sticking in Negaunee. Forecast is 7 inches here but less in the actual city since the lake keeps us a bit warmer. I think we won’t know til we wake up really.

76 pitches for Huff.

Nice AB by Laird. Works the count, with 2 strikes he keeps the AB alive, and singles the opposite way.
He really worked Huff in his two plate appearances.
Just flat out made him work.

I know lots of people that aren’t fans of how the town/campus is set up. I can’t say that I love the actual town, just the campus area.
Jeje, me too.
We parked under a Coca Cola sign. “Remember,” we told each other, “we are parked under the Coca Cola sign.” We came out after the game and realizd the stadium was ringed by Coca Cola signs.
Worst part was, I had to catch a redeye out of LAX after the game.
