This is great
Honestly, the perfect game that wasn’t has been so much bigger than an official perfect game. Good for him.

Why doesn't the official Tigers media shop make some reference to that game as perfect?
You’d figure the home guys at least would make sure to point that out every time they refer to the game.

because officially it wasn't and it never will be
but I do feel a “near-perfect” reference would be better than “one-hitter”.

I think there's a chance with the next commish
I mean, if Fay Vincent wiped the books clean of 50 or so no-hitters, who’s to say the next guy won’t say “Hey, it was the 27th out, nothing is left incomplete if we change it”. That’s what I hated about the “setting an ugly precedent”, most other calls people would have changed either had more play in the game or more games left in the series.
I saw an interview with Ken Burns shortly a day or two after the game, and he believes that someday it will be ruled a perfect game, but it may take several years

I saw that, SRT. I like Burns, and loved his mini series on baseball, but I was surprised to hear that.
I don’t know exactly how that could be done. They wouldn’t be changing the outcome of the game, but maybe just the official scorer’s decision, I guess. That would leave a conflict on the record books, but then there’s already a conflict, isn’t there?
his first complete game and shutout?
Holy crap, that’s impressive. I had no idea that even losing the perfect game it was still such a career milestone for him.
Regardless of the official record, it’s a perfect game, the fans know it , his teammates know it, and he knows it. It may be remembered for that a lot longer than a “normal” perfect game. :)

Science nerd and proud of it!
I agree. If not for the blown call, there is no way Armando would get the amount of press that he's gotten.
And when you add in the classy way that he handled the whole thing, he’s become a star.
Think we could get a good shortstop for him?
Bahahahaha
I love it.
See, if I said we should trade Armando for a SS, I’d get lit up. Thank you for saying it though.

I've used my vast power to add a no trade clause to Armando's contract.
He’s basically untouchable.

I hope Armando is put on the All-Star team
I think that would be a nice, and deserving, gesture.

Yeah! Great way to showcase him!
JK- Now, y’all know I love Armando. But I’d love a really good shortstop or 3B just a little bit more!
Amen!
Galaragga should be named to the team, and he should be the closer…31 up…31 down.

English and Spanish at the same time?
That sounds like it could get interesting.
In a long distance relationship with the Tigers--and, yes, we're doing fine.
Meh
Spanglish was a pretty boring movie.

I am stoked right now
I submitted two questions, and Armando’s answered one of them.
