I'M ON VACATION FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS!!!!
I can think of a great way to start it off, too!

I'M (ESSENTIALLY) ON VACATION FOR THE SUMMER!!!!
Exams are done, marks are in… it’s all over but the cryin’ (theirs, not mine, although with a few more runners stranded in scoring position, I’m sure I’ll be reaching for the Kleenex box).
I’ve been bad lately — I don’t think I’ve listened to much in the way of baseball for the past week or so. Playing in a tournament last weekend burnt me out on baseball a bit, I think.

oh, yeah, the nba draft
and I’m usually someone who hates it when people crap on sports they don’t like, and I’m even a basketball fan….but can I get a “Ho hum”?
Somehow I managed to not realize it was tonight. I guess that jibes with not realizing that the NHL Awards went down last night.

Oh god
Even with the soccer game and epic tennis match yesterday, it seemed like all people wanted to talk about on the radio was the freaking draft. We get it, John Wall first. Then just draw straws for the rest.
i'm not on twitter much
because my phone isn’t particularly smart, but I do keep the website open and monitor sometimes, like last night. Bill Simmons (espn2’s sports guy) was all over it posting links to vids of Americans celebrating the Donovan goal…but I didn’t see one about the draft, and he’s a huge NBA guy.

our wonderful manager was there today
so having missed my recent success at the plate, he batted me last, with the three girls in front of me.
went 2-3 with two runs scored (led off 2 innings and batted second in one). it helps when the guy hitting second in our lineup hits two out-of-the-park homers when you’re on base.
we lost 24-23 because the other team was purposely taking walks instead of swinging. at one point four straight people walked (on close pitches) without even swinging their bats.

Sure, he does it sometimes
like Rodney in Game 163. I don’t think he’s any worse than any other manager, though.

Leaving Rodney in for that long was royally stupid.
That alone should say something.

Thinking of a game from April '07
Halladay v. Bondo. He yanked Bondo after 9 innings and 96 pitches. Halladay went 10 and got the W. Bondo could’ve gone back out for the 10th, too. Maybe it’s something with JB. He took him out too early in the World Series, too.

Knuckles carved him up, there
and thanks, Mario…“Bonine’s first strikeout”. Also, his first batter.

Hello everyone
I’ve finished cursing David Wright for his heads-up baserunning skills and Rod forgot to give his line about Eddie Bonine being a strike-thrower. Anything earth-shattering I need to know?

Ouch.

I hate Reyes. And why the hell was Boesch that deep?
by ChrisDTX on Jun 24, 2010 9:38 PM EDT via mobile reply actions
Things go better with Coke.
Besides, Mario told us that DD is very high on Coke.
and that was a very late jump by Boesch on the pop fly ball.
This game has heartbreak city written all over it.

I don't know why, but nearly all our pitchers have decided to meltdown in this series
Bonderman and Galarraga were okay, Gonzalez has been effective, and everyone else has just plain sucked

Do the Mets not strike out a whole lot?
It seems like our pitching staff has recorded a very low strikeout total in this series
