MLM Recap: Sunday, June 6th
So draft coverage will run on Monday and Tuesday. The adventure will start with the Morning Lede on Monday, spotlighting draft stuff. Monday afternoon will feature a look at the Sickles Mock Draft and predictions for the Tigers. The first round liveblog will be at 8PM, and will cover the entire first round and supplemental. Tuesday will feature a morning lede recapping what the Tigers did with picks #44 and #48 as well as other baseball news. Then, starting at noon, I'll be liveblogging Tigers picks in rounds 2-30. AAA: Toledo at Rochester: Postponed
AA: Erie at Bowie: Postponed
Luke Putkonen took a hard luck loss. He went 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits and a walk with a strikeout. The offense was non-existent. Josh Workman was 2-2 and Daniel Fields was 1-3 with a walk.
A: Peoria 8, West Michigan 5 (Game 1)
This was the conclusion of the suspended game on the 5th. Ramon Lebron pitched 3 innings on Saturday, giving up 4 runs (3 earned) on 5 hits (including a homer) and 3 walks with 3 strikeouts. Jacob Turner pitched the remaining 6 innings, giving up 4 earned runs on 8 hits, a walk and 3 strikeouts. Herman Perez was 2-5 with a double, Jordan Lennarton was 4-5, and Avisail Garcia was 2-4.
It was a bullpen start for the second game. Kudos go to Zach Samuels for pitching 5 shutout innings, allowing only 4 hits. Jose Ortega also pitched 2 hitless innings, striking out 2 and walking 1. Alexis Espinosa was 1-4 with a home run.

. . . anyone know who the best left-handed relievers in the draft are?
To be more specific... college senior lefty relievers.
That will allow the Tigers to assign them to West Michigan until they’re 24 years old.
