Slightly OT

Has anyone picked up that 4-DVD set, “Essential Tigers”? If so… reviews?

Strasburg looks like Chucky

He makes that face on every pitch, I’ve seen three different pictures in the last hour just like that.

by Rob Rogacki on Jun 8, 2010 10:36 PM EDT reply actions

There's a good poll question

Who makes the weirdest faces in mid-pitch? Kenny Rogers used to. Armando’s gotta be up there as well.

My vote goes to Kenny.

I have never seen a picture of him, mid-pitch, with anything short of a contorted, twisted look on his face.

That's one reason I'm not a pro...

If I had to bat against Zoom, I’d be all over the place. I can barely handle an 85mph fastball let alone 100+. They you’re getting all prepared to try and speed up your reaction time and swing early and he sends over that soft floater. I’d look like one of those guys in the “Looney Toons” sketches where a guy can get three strikes swinging on one pitch. …or the Tazmanian Devil where I spin myself into the ground.

Alas, I never made it to the bigs…go figure!

Went to the game. This Strasburg kid, he’s not half bad. And the Tigers rallied, so a great night all around!
Now, if DC could only figure out how to get fans home from a game in less than 2 hours. Oddly, we’re not used to crowds of 40,000+ for baseball games here.
