Who would you rather have at 3B?
Jhonny Peralta or Brandon Inge?
At first, I would say Brandon Inge in a heartbeat, but the decision isn't as easy as it looks. Injuries have plagued Brandon Inge's past two years as a Tiger, and it's clear that it affects his play. Batting .221/.289/.383 in his first 44 games this season, appearing to be bothered by his knee surgery during the offseason, he recovered in his next 44 games before his injury with a .310/.407/.465. We saw a much greater drop in 2009, where he went from All-Star to a .220 hitter on the season. Much of this can also be attributed to Inge's history of streakiness as well, but the fact that he has a history of injuries also makes his future somewhat scarier than Peralta's who has been injury free.
While Jhonny Peralta hasn't been tearing it up the past couple of years with Cleveland, who has exactly? Maybe a change of scenery and hitting alongside Miguel Cabrera will give him a bit of a boost he needs. While I realize this is a stretch and also terribly hard to judge considering he hasn't played a game for us yet, it makes a great discussion piece now. So, what do you think?

That was a stipulation of the poll
Ignore how well they might play other positions, only consider 3B
JP at 3B
I think Inge will probably retire. He can’t hit consistently and has arthritis in both knees. I just can’t see anyone offering him a guaranteed contract next season. Nobody else wanted him a few years ago when he was healthy, and I don’t think his stock has went up any. He could get a Spring Training invitation from us, but I don’t think he’ll play for the MLB minimum wage, so he’ll retire instead.
where on earth did you come up with the notion he has arthritis?
never mind all that other nonsense you just typed.

That's what I read back in Spring Training
The Freep doesn’t have the article anymore.
He did have surgery for patella tendinitis on his knees. From what I understand, the surgery just cleans up the area to relieve some of the discomfort and pain, but it doesn’t actually fix anything. As long as Inge keeps playing baseball the knees will just keep getting worse. Doctors also warned him that coming back too early from his surgery will cause arthritis in his knees. He ignored the doctors warning and came back early anyway. To make matter worse he played in the cold weather also. Inge recently admitted that the warm weather has made his knees feel much better. Well, that’s a good indication of things to come. If he can’t play half decent in cold weather, then he is no good to us in April and May. He’s toughing it out, but If he keeps playing he’ll need to have his knees cleaned out again. It’s a no win situation with his knee problems.
warm weather makes everyone's moving parts feel better. is that not the case for you personally?
why do you think more home runs are hit? or pitchers throw harder?
the team let him come back because he was ready. with surgery like that, it takes a little while to get to 100%, the same thing happened with sizemore.

Inge will not retire.
“Mr. Madison, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. "

At least is wasn't this:
“I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don’t have maps and, uh, I believe that our, uh, education like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and, I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, or, uh, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future, for our children”
Granderson was my Tiger, then Sizemore, then Willis. Since they're all gone, I'm taking Raburn and hoping the pattern holds.
