The Tigers announced a move to correspond with RHP Ryan Perry's activation from the DL- by demoting RHP Casey Fien. Fien pitched 3 2/3 innings for Detroit, allowing an unearned run while walking four and striking out four. He should fit back into the closer's role at AAA Toledo and will probably be the next reliever called up if something else happens to the bullpen.
The bullpen now looks like this:
CL Valverde, SU Coke, SU Perry, LR Bonine, LR Thomas, MU Schlereth, MU Gonzalez
