What is this now, 5 teams already?
He should get a moving company endorsement deal.
Ryan Raburn antagonist.
Scott Sizemore liberationist.
Dodgers, Rays, Tigers, D-Backs, White Soxes
It’ll be six if the Soxes flip him to the Nationals for Dunn.

Word is that the Black Sox may flip Edwin to the Gnats for Adam Dunn
There are conflicting reports on Washington’s interest in Edwin, with John Heyman of SI saying they’re very interested in him and Peter Gammons saying they’re “not so hot”.
DD should go after Josh Willingham. The Gnats are said to be unwilling to move both Dunn and Willingham. Josh doesn’t have Dunn’s power, but he can hit, can hit for power, can field at least average, steal some bases. His line is .270/ .395/ .470 for an .866 OPS with 15 homers, 50 RBI and 8 steals. He’d fit nicely in Magglio’s 3 spot. He’s under contract for 4.6 mil with a year of arbitration left. He could easily be extended for less than Dunn, and would help to make the season at least respectable if the pitching came around, while also being a nice piece for next year.
yeah, I keep hearing he might be flipped too. guess we'll find out soon

That's what I hear too.
Plus a pitcher with a 5+ ERA isn’t going to help out in a pennant race, I don’t think.
All I saw was "Jackson" on the twitter feed,
and though “OMG AUSTIN?!?!?!”
That was scary.
Edwin Jackson to the White Soxes =
HOPE! Maybe not if they flip him for Adam Dunn but given Jackson’s track record of not pitching well in Aug/Sept and Freddy Garcia’s recent struggles the White Soxes suddenly have a pretty weak back of the rotation.

I really have hated baseball the past week.
We’re playing so bad that I don’t wanna watch Sportcenter or baseball tionight to see Tiger lowlights and usually the trading deadline is one of my passions. But the Twins getting capps and the Chit-Sox getting E-Jax pisses me off even more.
But Dunn will either be a Ray or a Yankee ina day….that I am somewhat sure of.
Are you kidding me?
The Capps and Jackson trades are great news for Tigers fans. Capps is a marginal improvement for the Twins, and they gave up too much to get him. Jackson is not a good pitcher, and the Sux also gave up too much for him and he will lower their payroll flexibility this winter. Short term, both moves might improve the Sox and Twins, but that doesn’t matter because the Tigers are not making the playoffs this year anyway. Long term (which is what DD should be thinking about anyway) this has the potential to harm both clubs and thus help the Tigers. I, for one, am thrilled.

I actually stopped breathing for a second there- I had to read it 3 times before I felt safe
I’m not sure if I really want to see Edwin that often, but perhaps 2009 was his career year and it will work out for Detroit.
I fell bad that he is being bounced around like a pinball though.
unless Dunn can pitch
I doubt he’s going to DC. As some who was never that high on Jackson, I think this is the DBacks selling high and don’t think this makes the Sox significantly better.

7.24 ERA since the no hitter
typical second-half swoon sped up by the pitch count maybe?

The Nationals
don’t want him, Jackson that is.

Trend
It sure seems that over the course of his career, teams who don’t have Edwin value him over the teams who do. He has, after all, netted some pretty good players over the course of his career. Is that ever going to be a red flag? I mean, over and above the fact that he’s never been all that good for a full season.
it does seem more active than in the past
but have to watch how tomorrow goes. If they keep up the pace it would be great fun.

I think the rumor mill speeds up every year with the proliferation of the media covering it
but I don’t see an extraordinary amount of actual activity
It helps that there are 20 teams above .500, most of them barely, with races in every division, and the wins are unevenly distributed with a few really horrible clubs
I thought I read and maybe I'm wrong
but I heard the sox were getting jackson to work a deal with the nats…
Welcome to Detroit, NO sissies allowed
that was the deal originally
But the Sox had to trade one of their starters to get Jackson. So unless they get another starter Jackson’s not going anywhere.

They'd best be flipping him
Can’t imagine EJax in a HR-friendly park working out. On second thought, I hope they keep him.
Cram it, Hawk. Put that on the board. Yes.
I cant believe they gave up Hudson for him

I wanted Ramos.
I mean, not personally, like to catch for me in the backyard but for the Tigers.

Okay, if we get Willingham and Ramos, I could part with Oliver. Or any other prospect(s) not named Turner.
I like that
but don’t think the Nationals would be into it.
