Been a little while since we've seen the White Sox. As we know, they are leading the AL Central, and are seven games ahead of the Tigers. They're 7-3 for their last 10 games.

Buehrle is 14-8 with a 2.99 ERA overall against the Tigers.

There hasn't been any news regarding Danny Worth or Johnny Damon, so I assume that's good and neither is hitting the DL. Damon would be useful today; he is hitting .409 lifetime against Buerhle.

Star-divide

Tigers lineup: Jackson 8, Damon dh, Frazier 7, Cabrera 3, Peralta 5, Boesch 9, Raburn 4, Laird 2, Worth 6

White Sox lineup: Pierre 7, Vizquel 5, Rios 8, Konerko 3, Quentin 9, Kotsay dh, Ramirez 6, Pierzynski 2, Beckham 4.

Tom Gage blogged that Ryan Strieby was expected to be called up, possibly very soon.

Of course, that poses the question- who will be moved off the 25 man roster to make room for Strieby. My guess would be Frazier or Boesch, unless Danny Worth is placed on the DL. Personally, I’d try to get BB to work out his issues in the major leagues for a while longer. It’s not like he’s killing the team’s chances or anything, and what he needs to do is to improve his ability to handle major league pitching. There’s none of that down in Toledo. The league has adjusted to him, and now he needs to adjust back. Start by laying off pitches that are a foot outside the strike zone, and go from there.

Wait til next year, again.

I'd rather Raburn bat third. There are no good choices, and certainly nobody to fill Magglio's shoes.

I’ve never been one to want Miggy in the 3 slot, but that’s what I’d do now, rather than have a .200 OBP guy in front of him.

Wait til next year, again.

I was actually just doing some research,

having lost interest in the game, and ….

… we have been outscored 91 to 61 since all-star break. That’s 4.78 runs/game for our opponents and 3.21 runs/game for us. If you think about it like this, that’s like losing 5-3 every night or alot of close games. In fact, we lost seven of the 18 games by 1-run and another four games by 2-runs.

What a difference just a few extra hits would have made!

I think Cabby is trying to hit bombs these days.

It will probably cost him the AVG leg of the triple crown.

We are sinking so fast we’re sucking everything and everyone in with us. I gave up 2 weeks ago on winning the division, then I gave up on playing .500, now I firmly believe we will finish almost last in the division. We are certainly the worst team in the worst division in baseball right now. Mark my words, we are ready for game 106, and this team will not win more than 20 games the rest of the year! Uggh!

It's worse than bad!

KC and Cleveland are 45-61. We are 52-53. The way we’re playing now, does anyone really think we will do better than 20-37 the rest of the way? That would put us at 72-90. Will KC and Cleveland go 30-26 the rest of the way to end at 75-87? Hell, I wouldn’t bet against it right now.
