Miguel Cabrera's season is over
Tigers slugger and American League Most Valuable Player candidate Miguel Cabrera will miss the Tigers' final six games this season with a high right ankle sprain, the team announced Wednesday morning.

Well that sucks.
Certainly the right choice if there’s any risk, though. Would have been nice to see him hit 40/130.

Unfortunate
Too bad it happened so close to the end of the year. Would have liked to of seen him put the finishing touches on his run for MVP.

when i saw how his foot twisted againt the bag the other night
i figured as much, but you always hope its not what you think.
I'm going down with this ship. I may as well, I got nothin' better to do.
Not the way you want to finish out a great season
But it’s cool that he still had a career year and finished with an OPS over 1.0 for the first time in his career.
Get this man some help in the offseason so his prime isn’t wasted, Dave.
I think this is just the beginning
of career bests for Miguel, he’s going to conitue to break records (including his own) and excel. He hasn’t even started to peak, yet.
