Texas Rangers (2-0) at Detroit Tigers (0-2)
Probable Pitchers:
Tuesday October 11, 8:05p:
RHP Colby Lewis (1-0, 1.50 ERA, 6 K, 1 BB)
Hitter to Fear: Austin Jackson (6 for 15, 1 2B, 1 HR, 1 RBI)
Hitter To Fail: Don Kelly (2 for 8, 3 K)
at
RHP Doug Fister (1-1, 6.52 ERA, 10 K, 4 BB)
Hitter to Fear: Nelson Cruz (7 for 14, 2 2B, 1 HR, 3 RBI)
Hitter to Fail: Mitch Moreland (1 for 11, 1 K)
What to Watch For:
1. The Detroit Tigers have 7 different players batting .300 or higher against Rangers starter Colby Lewis. This would seem to be a great game to finally get those bats swinging. Unfortunately, Lewis is 4-0 with a 1.67 ERA in 5 postseason starts.
2. History says that the Rangers truly hate playing in the city of Detroit. Since Comerica Park opened in 2000, they have the worse record playing there in the American League (23-34).
